Privacy Policy
XuTurn is a fully local file toolkit. We follow a "minimum data, local-first" principle: all your files and data stay inside the app sandbox on your device. We never upload, collect or analyze any user data. This policy explains how the app handles information related to permissions, storage, encryption and networking.
1. Core promise
All file processing in XuTurn (image editing, PDF handling, archiving, QR codes, vault) runs on your device. We operate no servers for collecting user data, and we never send your files or usage logs to any external network in the background.
2. Information we collect
We collect no personal information. The app requires no account, asks for no identity such as email or phone number, and includes no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. Temporary files created during processing stay in the app sandbox and are cleaned up when you leave the relevant feature.
3. Permissions
Camera: used only when you take a photo or scan a QR code, for previewing and recognition. Frames are processed on this device only — never uploaded, and no photo is saved without your confirmation.
This app does not request location, contacts, microphone, SMS or any other sensitive permission. If a future version needs a new permission, we will explain its purpose in-app and ask for your consent.
4. Local storage
Processed files (images, PDFs, archives) stay in the app sandbox. You can view, export or delete them any time in the Files tab. The app never syncs these files to any cloud.
5. LAN transfer
Only when you start LAN Transfer does the app connect directly to your computer over your own Wi-Fi to send or receive files. The connection never goes through any external server; transferred content flows point-to-point between your device and your computer only.
6. Encryption & security
Vault files are stored with AES-256 encryption. Only a verification value of your password (derived via PBKDF2) is stored on this device. We neither store your password in plaintext nor can recover your files if the password is forgotten. Please remember your unlock method.
7. Minors
This app collects no personal information and pushes no content or ads to anyone, making it suitable for families and minors under guardian supervision.
8. Your rights
Because data always stays on your device, you have full control: you can delete individual files in the Files tab at any time, or clear app data in system settings to permanently remove all local files and configuration. We hold no server-side data to query or export.
9. Policy updates
If this policy changes significantly, you will see a prominent notice in the app and will be asked to read and confirm it again. The effective version is the date shown on this page and in the in-app privacy dialog.
